So I am trying to decide if it would be ok to have a small plot (about an acre and a half) of wheat planted this coming week on a property that I just received permission to hunt. Is it to late to be much of a benefit for the first two weeks of gun season?
 
Yeah, thats what I was thinking. Maybe if there was a little more rain in the forecast I would be more optimistic on it, but I'd hate to pay to have it planted and not see any results
 
I have planted wheat in the middle of december and it came up just fine. I think you would be fine. Just go heavier with the triple 15 to give it a jump start.

Planted a late field today, and that is usually very late for me. the farmers here will be planting wheat very soon.
 
Decided against it after talking with Justin - without having set foot on the property and not knowing the condition of the area I was planning on having it done, I decided it would be a waste if I had him show up and not even be able to access the area or if the area was so overgrown with underbrush it might require more than just bushhogging. Might have given it a shot if the circumstances were different. Thanks for everyone's input!
