This buck came in to work a scrape late this evening. He was very close but the brush was very thick and I never could tell how good he was so I ground checked him. I could tell he was 3.5 by his body but I couldn't see his rack. I was a little disappointed at his rack but I am thankful for having the opportunity to kill such a pretty deer.

Congrats! Not a big fan of the ground checking method though. Always be 100% sure what your shooting at.. I know you knew it was a deer but so does everyone else..

Not trying to give you a hard time.. Just know a couple of stories that make me hate hearing the term ground check.
