Last hunt, in the rain, nice evening but no deer. When I parked the truck this afternoon, a doe ran out right in front of me across the road, leaving public land. I climbed down at 5 pm and checked several fields but nothing turned up. My worst problem now is that I have to wait over 8 months before I can do it again. Not a bad season overall

Sad, but now we get to chase small game, get stuff ready for next season, and before we know it it will be turkey season. somewhere in there we will fish and then it will be bow season. :)

that's how it goes, and throw in some shed hunting, morels and seed starting

trust me I have a lot of outdoor hobbies to occupy my off time year round, but few things I get so engrossed in as deer season, and spring turkey

Look at it this way, Lots of turkey hunting and fishing to do in the next 8 months.

I'm more ready for that now anyway! Bring it on!!!
seeing 150-200 turkeys bust out of one field recently, got me a bit fired up too. all the cackling, yelping, kee kee-ing, and gobbling all over the place as they tried to re-group. Got me wanting some turkey hunting
