Food Plots Last minute oats....

I was home this weekend and there are no acorns.....never seen none before that's the case all over the area.

This motiviated me to put in another plot for the winter. I sprayed about 1/2 acre with gly. Will disk it and plant oats/clvoer 1st week of October.

Will spraying it off like that before disking do any good? Last winter I disked then planted and had a lot of problems with grasses off the bat. Still figuring out the best procedures....

You did the right thing. Best to spray, wait about two weeks then disk. Of course when you disk you will turn some old grass and weed seed to the top, but it will be nothing like if you didn't spray first. Where you really have a problem with this is spring and summer plots, you not planting till October you should have very little competition from grass and weeds with a fall/winter plot

Looks good, I had a plot that I redid n oats and it has really taken off the last week. Killed a doe in it last night.
