Deer season ends for us on the 14th... combination of 2nd rut and some hungry bucks with cold temps should have them moving. Hoping I can tag one. All the rain yesterday flooded about 100 acres next to the creek, I'm set up not too far away on the high ground hoping they have pushed my way.

Been a long season, I'm tired... got 3 weeks to recover before its time to chase the turkeys!

No deer last night, already seen 7 this morn, no shooters. 7 in a hunt is the most ive ever seen here!

Juvie turkey opens Mar 8th.

No deer seen this eve. Heard 1 shot and bullet impact about a mile to north. Other than that, pretty quiet.
Last day tomorrow till the TN velvet hunt in Aug!

Season went out in typical fashion. No deer seen Sat afternoon, Sun morn, or Sunday eve. Members daughter killed a 1.5yo 4pt (legal since was a juvie).

That brought us up to 3 bucks (1.5yo, 2.5yo, and 4.5yo) killed and 5 does killed on 2000 acres between the 18 members.

Hate I missed a solid 4.5yo or 5.5 yo buck last weekend. That is going to sting for a while. Several nice 2.5yos and a couple 3.5yos survived our 4 month season, so next year should be better
