Well Man and I went duck hunting last Sunday morning.
It is a spot we only can hunt every once in a while.
With ALOT of rain or if the river gets out or almost gets out it will flood.
You usually have 3 to 5 days then the water (and ducks) are gone.
We have never caught it just right where you can wade though, always have to hunt out of a boat.
We saw more ducks that morning than we have seen all year in TN.
Our set up was good in terms of location and spread but we weren't hid near enough in the boat and they wouldn't finish.
The water level only lacked about a foot and we could have waded it.
Our dream is that the water level will still be high enough to get the boat in but then we can wade it tomorrow morning.
If the ducks are still there or more have moved in, it very well could be the hunt of the year for us.
Heading there this afternoon after work to check the water level and maybe even get to see some ducks coming in to roost, dunno though.

Fingers crossed and praying for one good hunt to end a dismal year.

Hope every one has a great weekend and be safe and as always with duck hunting.......... next year will be better ;)

Good luck. I'll be heading to our blind on KY Lake. With the cold today/tonight, maybe some of the bottoms will be froze up in the morning, but probably not thick enough to do us any good. We'll see how it goes.

We brought home 8. 4 Blackjacks, 2 green wing teal, a green head, and a black duck. A top 5 day for this season, and a good way to go out.
