Seen something today Ive never seen before, I was hunting today and got attacked by a very pissed off momma turkey, I dang near stepped on a hen with what looked like to be about 10-15 chicks, but she flaired up and ran straight at me. The chicks ran across my boot, my camera man had to stop one from hitting a big mud whole with his seat. Man she was mad! A great day just not enough time to seal the deal. Had 4 birds hammering but would not commit, I worked them until I had to leave to pick up my son.

ha that's cool didn't know a turkey would defend her chicks that much, I have had geese do it but always see turkey hens fly off their nests or run away towing their chicks with them.

Momma protecting her babies. 10-15 poults is a good problem to have. I'd be more excited about that than killing a bird today. That is awesome.
