Sitting here waiting on sunup for the last time this season. When I pulled out of the driveway this morning there were 3 does bedded down on the shoulder of the road. They laid there and just watched me drive by. I hope that wasn't a sign that I should have stayed in bed too. I haven't been in here in 3 weeks. I wasn't getting many pics then so I pulled a camera. When I got home and checked the card the deer seemed to be moving in. We'll see....

Good luck Mike

I jumped up a buck from his bed. I went where I should have had a cross wind from his bed in a terrain funnel (same one I shot my ten point in actually( but sure enough, for whatever reason, the wind shifted directly towards where he went :(

Yep, jumped a button buck on the walk in. Nice to have a good sunny morning. Past couple of days has been mostly cloudy. Taking the cameras down today until March. Getting excited for turkey season now.

Hunt just about everything

Drove by six does. Sitting in my ground blind in a light sprinkle. Not holding my breath I will see anything.

Might sit here until noon and then go to Roane County. That is where I've seen the most deer. Likely sit until dark since it is the last day.

Best of luck to all those out for their last chance of the season. I've already closed out my 36th deer season.

My 42nd is over. I saw a doe, a small buck, and a couple of fawns. I heard more shots this morning than any day this season. Now I have about 60 pounds of pure red meat to work into sausages and snack sticks next week.

I saw 4 does today; all of them got the pass. I've still got an either sex tag for Ohio. I may run back up and do some late season bow hunting, later this month. Although, it would be nice to just stay home for a month and do some trout fishing.

I ended up seeing four today and found an impressive rub that hadn't been there so that gives excitement for post season. I have sheds and trail cam pics on my mind until May and come June I'll be back at it with the cameras so I stay entertained :D
