Anybody used one ? FireField claims Lazer dot is 2 inches at 100 yards. Is it worth the cost, will it save you that much in ammo ?
Thanks

They are only asking $29.97 plus shipping.

I posted this a month ago and will post it here. I wish I had bought this years ago. It works!!!

Under 3 minutes.

That's all it took to bore sight my EOTech 512 and back up iron sights (BUIS) on my new toy.

I didn't want to wait any longer for the other parts I ordered so I set up my shooting rest and target for 50 yards.

Now starting the time I took my Cabela's Universal Laser Bore Sight and put the right adapter in and put it in my new rifle placing it on the rest. I popped up the BUIS and looked at them though the EOTech like it wasn't there. A couple turns and I was on target. I then flipped them down and turned on the EOTech and was off just a few turns to the right. I took the Laser Sight out and put in a magzaine and fired one shot at the target hitting just off center at 50 yards. I turned the EOTech off and popped up the BUIS, fired another round and was 1/4 inch low at 50 yards.

All of that in under 3 minutes before it got too dark.

I wish I could have fired off a whole mag but too many neighbors too close, a couple rounds is about all we can do without drawing attention. I'm going to take it up to the farm and really get going.

I think they are worth the money. But I'd rather use that 30 dollars and buy another box of shells instead.

If you do don't leave it in the bore after sighting in and then fire it. I've seen more than one barrel burst from forgetting about the bore sighter and then firing the rifle. I've never tried the laser type. I've got an old cheap Tasco boresighter that I bought years back and it still serves the purpose to put me on paper at 100. I could do it just as quick with one shot at 25 but that's a different range at our club and I'd rather just boresight it and then only have one setup at the range.

I got a laser bore sighter foem Cabela's several years ago.It has paid for itself many times as you can use it on muzzlerloaders and rifles, several for myself, several for friends.Money well spent.

No way.
Once you know how to sight in a scope, like someone described below, you don't need one.

I always carry mine in the truck when I go hunting just in I bump my scope. So I can recheck it with the laser, wont be exact but it will be in the ball park.
