Lapped barrel

My new rifle came in today and it says it has a lapped barrel and that I did not need to break it in. So that means all I need to do is sight it in with my hunting rounds and I'm good to go, right?

Theoretically yep.

I would still recommend shooting 5-6 rounds and cleaning and then maybe 10 rounds and cleaning and then whatever your cleaning ritual is from there on out,,
