What caught your eye the most? I loved the over/under rifle-smoothbore that Randy Grunkemeyer had built for Mark Thompson and the .29 squirrel rifle that Roger Sells built.

I wonder why they've moved the TN-KY rifle show from the Museum of Appalachia?
 
What caught my eye.....ALOT! The quality and quantity of nice guns/etc at this small show simply amazes me. I saw and was able to handle both of the rifles you spoke of. Mel Hankla had his Jacob Young rifle(Jackson County) which is of the finest example of gun making from Tennessee. There were two guns on Wayne Elliots table that were quite unique. One was an unsigned flintlock that had a mostly brass barrel but about 4" of the breech was iron. The other was a Tennessee style from Sullivan County that was all brass mounted. Of course, guns are not the only thing....Powder horns, hunting pouches, knives and hawks, art work, books were there. My wife even bought quill work earrings from Lally House.

The museum was a nice, folksy place for a antique rifle show. It was moved simply because the show has out grown the place. If I'm not mistaken it will be at the Jubilee Center just down the interstate from the museum in Knoxville.
 
Funny that you mention your wife buying earrings from Lally House. I bought a pair for my wife as part of her Valentine's day gifts. I told Lally that she should be advertising those as V-day presents. She laughed and said that was a good idea. I told her that I was gonna have a little fun out of my wife when she asked what I bought. I told her well I bought your Valentine's day present. She thought they were really cool.
