Ladder stand 2nd man

Anyone specifically using ladder stands needs this set up. One man can put up a 20' ladder stand alone. Two men can do it in a breeze. Basically you put the stand together on the ground, anchor the legs down, and then just winch the stand up and secure it to the tree. A buddy uses a 20 footer 2 man ladder stand and bought one last year. I've helped him hang his ladder 3 or 4 times and I know if I used ladders I'd have this system.
 
Probably be safer than putting it up my self but as far as time it only takes me about 10 minutes to have on up
 
Haven't looked at the link, but if it's the "stakes" that hold the lower ladder section in place at the ground, I purchased a set of them a couple of years ago. Worth every penny b/c I pretty much have to put up all my stands, ladder stands included, alone. ;)

The stakes consist of a spike that sticks into the ground with a swiveling peg that fits into the channel of the base of the ladder. Once we get the stand up we just remove the stakes because the weight of the ladder stand will hold the legs in place and this also prevents them from rusting over the course of a season.
 
I've used a product called Stand-up. They are the spikes that swivel as mentioned above. Absolutely worth it. I put up a big 18' API two man ladder stand by myself with little effort.
 
I have one and you have to be careful putting up a heavy 2 man ladder stand with it or the top section will bend where it connects to the adjoining ladder section. It's all a matter of connecting the strap in the right place on the ladder.
 
I bought the swivel spikes from Sportsman's guide. I use the winch on my rhino and winch two man stands up with it. I've got a strap with a pulley, use a ladder or climber to put pulley up high, run rope through pulley and down to stand. Hook winch to rope and pull it up and in place. Winch holds it tight while I climb up and put ratchet straps on.
 
Pastor...You don't have to place the pulley up high. Put it about 4-5 feet off the ground and attach it to 2 or 3 rungs from the top on your ladder.

I will try that next time. I was wondering when I saw the pic on the Sportsman's guide site. That will make it even easier.
