Tn defense isn't bad at all. But when the offense goes 3 and out OVER AND OVER.... of course they get winded and look bad. Going into bama game, they had the 2nd best "passing yards allowed" in the fbs

defense is a lot more than "passing yards allowed". I was just looking at ESPN'e rankinfs. Both teams are ranked in the middle 60s.

Vols haven't scored an offensive touchdown in 14 quarters...yes 14. That's 3 1/2 games for you mathematically challenged folks. :super:

That said I don't see them doing much better against Kentucky and lose by 14. Without looking it up I'll venture to guess that in my 44 years on this earth I doubt Kentucky has ever been favored over Tennessee in football. Sad times on the hill.

if UT can get #4 on track and keep their defence off the field they have a chance,,if UK can keep #4 in check and get 2nd and 7 and 3rd and 5`s UT will give up by mid 2nd quarter and get beat by 20+ points,,I just dont see UT showing up in the mindset to play..the players know it`s over for Jones and I am pretty sure Jones knows its over for Jones and I am not sure there is anything he can do to get this team to play to 1/2 of their talents,,and if they lose and dont fire him Saturday night they could very well not win another game this year,,

Huge UK fan here! We can never seem to get over the hump with Florida or UT no matter the spread or where the teams are. U saw the Florida game this year, we were better 99% of the game and found a way to uncover 2 receivers and still lose! Miss state is another one. As much as I love that UT is in complete disarray at the moment, they always seem to get right with us. It always seems to end up in the 40-24 range in UT's favor. I'm cautiously optimistic since our weakness is our secondary and UT cannot throw it. But I'm not placing any bets.

BTW, 45 degrees and pouring rain Saturday in Lexington!

I did too and I REALLY would like to have seen the game unfold without the two BONEHEAD penalties that the dumbarse got for hands to the face.
That basically handed Alabama 2 touchdowns.
Still think Alabama would have won easily but you never know what a momentum shift like that could bring.

Oh well, maybe next year ;)

I completely agree. Alabama was going to win either way but if tn offense could have at least gained a few first downs here and there and gave the defense a rest, they would not have blown us out so badly.
