It is making the rounds like wildfire: Stan Potts is supposed to have done it again with a 200-plus buck killed on public land in the bottoms near Henderson. This one is not on video but they say lots of pictures and two witnesses-his wife and some other dude.

I know they still have the same lease as last year, I was with that farm manager Wednesday and Potts was due to show up there

He went to Henderson instead, I guess. Those two spots are way far apart.

I suspect it is a story someone made up.

Probably right Landman but you keep missing something. THE HENDERSON BOTTOMS ARE OVER 100 MILES AWAY FROM THEIR FARM.

However, it is a rumor, nothing more.

Potts can't be in 2 places at once... Farm manager prolly knows whether he hunted somewhere or not.... And he said not.

I think last year he didn't hunt the first day and then only hunted evenings.

bowriter - you should know he ain't shooting one unless its on film

LOL!
If ANY TV celeb. killed a 200 incher on PUBLIC land, I would feel sorry for all the other guys who hunt that land regularly. Their competition would be changing...dramatically!
Been there, done that.

I cant believe he would shoot a buck that size. I thought he only shot teal big ones. Another question is how do you mount one like that, in velvet just starting to shed?
I've had them come into my shop like that, about the only thing you can do if it is that bad is strip it off and stain the antlers.

I wonder what kind of bonus the fella that patterned that deer, hung the stand, drove him right to the stand, loaded the deer up on the UTV, got after Stan pulled the trigger?LOL.........

The farm manager works full time for owner.. Potts and Knight&Hale and a couple others pay $33000 annually for this lease. Roughly 2200 acres with 2 lodges. This is what happens in a trophy state. LoL

Not e n close to 200..but an Excellent deer by anyone's standard..

Funny how rumors start..

And a 10 year lease, and you forgot the stocked 60 acre lake

Thats 15 dollars an Acer for the lease. Pretty cheap for that part of Western Kentucky. Especially with 2 lodges to stay in and a big lake. I would have to about 20 people on it to afford it but man would a placed like that nice to lease.

Actually I think there are 2 lakes...And for those wondering this property hadnt been rifle hunted in about 10yrs before the owner started leasing it to these guys last year and I dont even know if they rifle hunt it.

If they kill there bucks early theres no need too. Been dissapoined in our lease so far this year in Kentucky. Need some of there luck.

There is a landowner who owns about 60 acres in the middle of that place, I saw the a trail cam picture of the 160+" 10 pointer
he killed opening day of rifle season, but I think your right
don't think any of them hunted with rifle
