Catman inspired!
I purchased a gimble for my iPhone 7+ a month or so ago for our family vacation to Yellowstone. I'm impressed with what it can do and equally impressed with the quality of video the iPhones can produce.
I documented my hunt last night in KY, just wanting to capture some moments. Edited in Imovie, gimble is a Zhiyun Smooth Q and the video app on my phone is filmic Pro and using the standard phone microphone.
Still a lot to learn for sure but tons of fun to mess around with.

Pretty dang good footage for an iPhone. Only thing I don't like about the iPhone camera is the poor zoom quality (digital) but otherwise it takes great video.

The doe group that I zoomed in to was every bit of 250 yards away, if I had a remote to zoom the camera and possibly a tripod it would do better(I think) but not great. The iPhones have two lenses and each one offers something different and specific to needs. That's one thing I need to learn.

A camera arm type of gimble would be a great invention to the hunting world for iPhone users. Someone could make millions if they came up with it. I guess for now someone could retro fit an adapter in a regular arm for self filming.

Three years ago I had a great deer come out but passed the chance up, he came back out the next evening and I couldn't resist. Screwed the shot up and I ended up killing him in Nov. The last few years have been slow but when a front moves in during that 2 day season it can be worth it. Too bad this front didn't move in a day earlier this year.

Basically, if I'm back from hunting out West I will hunt it. Other than that I stay out until the second week of Nov, hunting low pressured deer is amazing in KY.

Yes it is. The thing is I'm using a cheap(er) gimble and doing a very basic edit with iMovie. I have seen some insanely incredible footage shot by semi professionals.
