Do you have any recommendations for a good reliable gunsmith in the knoxville/maryville area?
I have a savage model 24 that needs to have the iron sight fixed.

I won't let Shannon touch my rifles. He is sloppy. I had to get 1 rifle trigger job refinished and he left bedding compound droplets all over my stock. Also, he apparently dropped my semi custom 300 WSM and scratched up my Zeiss Conquest and dinged up my stock that I just had finished. When I noticed the damage, he tried to tell me it was there when he got it. I then told him I know for a FACT it wasn't because the rifle was NEVER fired and never been in the field. I brought him the rifle when I got the stock back from the guy who checkered it for me. I was hot. He will not ever touch my rifles again. He may be better with pistols.

Joe, on the other hand, goes the extra mile to make things PERFECT the first time. He has done all of my trigger jobs and bedding (except for the one) on all of my rifles. The finished product has always been perfect.

Does predator do bolt fluting like Karl Kampfield, or barrel fluting of any kind? I have a Model seven I would like to give the Ti treatment to.

I can't view it at work, but Predator does have a web site with a lot of their gunsmithing services listed.

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't want to blindly pick a gunsmith from the yellow pages.
 
I have to second the recommendation for Bob Howard at Predator. They have been a genuine class act there. Bob's work is first rate. He's done a lot of work for professional shooters.
 
The gentleman at Gander Mountain is real good and honest.
I have used Fox but it was a long time ago.
Both are good.
