I have an MK 85 shoot 115 gr 777 with 240 grain sabot.

mine will shoot about anything i shove down its throught in a 3 shot 1-1.5 gruop except powerbelts it cant stand them, xtp and barnes shoot the best though

i have been shooting the 240 gr xtp and can not get them to shoot this year wonder why? i have tried 80 90 100 gr. any info. thanks

I had the same problem out of my SST's this year. Mine shoots the best with 90 grains. My brother has an mk85 that he bought new and has always shot the knight red hots out of it. He has never lost a deer with them.

My knight does better with 85-90gr. on pyrodex than it does with anything else. I use 240xtp's.

I have a Disc that shoots anything well with a stiff load of powder. I am currently using 110gr's 777 3F under Barnes 290gr TMZ. 2" groups at 125yds from clean bbl.

Every muzzle-loader is unique to itself and no gun is made exactly the same no matter how good the production practices a gun manufacture may have. My Knight rifle may like 110 grains and yours may like 120 grains or vice versa. Working up a "pet" load for a muzzle-loader is what every serious muzzle-loader hunter will have to do. I like to run a under-sized brush wrapped with a cleaning patch down the barrel several times after each shot to clean the barrel. I try to use a cleaning patch with Bore Butter. Do not clean the barrel between shots with cleaning jag. Using a cleaning jag will push any unburnt powder down the barrel and collect at the breech and will cause accuracy issues. Also, try to wait a few minutes between shots to allow the barrel to cool. It will take some time to find the pet load your Knight likes and may take more than one trip to the range to find the right load for your gun.

My MK-85 likes 100 grains Pyrodex pellets and 300 grain Barnes Expander MZ'S.

I learned from DA that 290 grain bullet or above. He likes Barnes and Hornadys. I listen to him as he seems to be the master of the muzzleloader in these here parts. I am shooting 100 777 with a 290 gr sst.

My LK-93 shoots best with 85 grain pyrodex, shooting a 240 grain HP Nosler. Haven't lost a deer yet with that combo.
