I have owned this MK-85 for 35 year's bought it in 1989, had the pleasure of speaking with Tony Knight about the faster twist he started using that year. The bore on this rifle looks as good as the day it came out of the factory. I have killed a lot of deer over the years with this rifle, it has been pampered and took extremely good care of. I switched it over to the 209 ignition about 5 years ago but never had a misfire with the old percussion caps. I did slide a beartooth cheek riser over stock to raise the comb up a little for the scope I was using. Recoil pad shows a little cracking around the edges but still in good shape. 37 of the 57 Plastic Jackets for primers is primed plus a 100 Federal 209A primers. I do have the scope bases for it don't know why I took them off. Rifle is in great shape inside and out. Haven't hunted with it in 3 years now getting a little older not hunting quit as much thinning a few things out. Tony Knight changed muzzle loading history for ever with MK-85.
