Shooting 100gr of triple 7 and a 240gr hornady xtp sabot. This load has shot well in every knight I have ever been around. Im getting 3-4in groups at 100yds swabbing between shots. Shooting of a bench with sandbags. Barrel is in good shape has been very well taken care of. Anybody have any advise?

If its consistent and the scope tracks, its fine.

The sabot is the tricky part as there are so many bore sizes. MMP HPH-12 Or the MMP HPH24 sabot should do the trick. Its also possible the rifle may not like that lighter bullet.

I have a knight disc extreme stainless thumbhole with a Nikon prostaff 3x9x40 bdc scope and I just switched from hornady 300gr sst in ez load sabots to thompson center branded 240gr .45 cal i assume bullets in black mag express sabots, i also shoot 100gr of triple 7 pellets and i didnt shoot for groups but it was dead on once i got the bullets walked into the bullseye but only at 50 yds, i also have a new optima v2 that i sighted in today as well for wife and it had the same results, i was running a wet patch or 2 then dry patches after every 2 shot in both rifles, this was my first time ever running patches between shots because last year i shot 2 to check zero, then killed 2 does, then on shot no.5 i aimed for the heart on a good 8 ptr and hit him way high in the spine and way back. At 20yds or so. That was an eye opener for me

Are you using the regular 240 gr XTPs or the XTPMAGS? I've had very good luck with either Pyrodex or Triple 7 at 100 gr and 240gr XTPMAGs in my Knights as well. The regular XTPs didn't shoot consistently. A few years ago, I swapped over to 100gr BH209 and the 245gr Barnes MZs in my Disk rifle. This load performs exceptionally well. I can typically get 1-1 1/2" 3-shot 100YD groups by running 2 spit patches and a dry patch down the barrel between shots.

ALL .452 240gr XTPs are MAGS. The .430 240gr XTP is not a MAG.

The MAGS have never shot as well for me as the non MAGS. They also do not expand as quickly as a regular XTP.
