Down in Gulf Shores this week.. a buddy and I went out on the public pier a couple of times, caught 3 of these king mackerel and 3 real nice spanish mackerel.. When these kings hit its just like hooking a jet airplane... I thought one time I could see smoke coming off my big penn reel..lol.. We cut this one in steaks and grilled them last night for supper.. talk about good... there wasnt a piece left...I thought twice about posting because I know all you guys in Tn are freezing your butts off.. but... couldnt keep from it...lol..

dang man dont post saltwater pics, I will most likely miss out on family vacation to the shore this year :(

but at least I will probably take a week off to fish somewhere like dale hollow

Glad you all had fun I bet those fish are a blast to catch. Never caught mackerel but I love fish that run off like a jet.
