Kinda Strange...

I have gotten three reports from three different people regarding seeing bucks that have already shed their velvet. Anyone seeing this?

Not here. I've never even heard of one shedding this early.

Had a guy tell me that couple days ago. just figured he was full of crap. He may have been telling the truth and I just didnt believe him.

Never heard of it, but I guess it could be possible. I've noticed some of the trail cam pics on here the deer look like their antlers are fully developed under the velvet.

The deer I'm getting on camera are a lot further along then usual, but still have their velvet

the main deer I want to shoot in KY is not going to be in velvet come Sep 6, Im afraid. That kinda stinks, but IF I get him his score will make up for any disappointment that not getting him in velvet may have created

Havent saw or heard of any early this yr but have heard it several times in past yrs where bucks had shed in mid August.

Pulled camera today had 5 different bucks not a single one has velvet.

I saw some trail pics over the weekend from a friend. Card pulled Friday, there was a good buck in background, antlers looked white to us...?
