Can't blame Sankey at all because his job as SEC commissioner is to make his league look the best and sell the country on it but yeah the bama bias is real. Heck I wish it was a Vols bias but let's take the curtains away and call it what it is.
Folks rooting for it and folks making money on them being included are two very different things :)Most of the Country (including TNdeer) and the media were rooting for the Tide to be left out. Just like most of the Country has is rooting for the Alabama football program to collapse for over a decade now. ...but like I keep trying to tell yall, "Alabama is going to be just fine".
I don't give a rats ass if bama makes it or not but do so on merit. Putting them in because of history, money, or anything else besides on field accomplishment is asinine at best. That goes for anybody not just bama. Maybe if some bama fans would take those crimson colored glasses off they'd agree. Most of the Country (including TNdeer) and the media were rooting for the Tide to be left out. Even if it ruins the integrity of the game? Turning into fake wrestlingMost of the Country (including TNdeer) and the media were rooting for the Tide to be left out. Earn it then, just like 11-1 bama knocked out the Fl St 12-0 last year and now bama taking out Miami with better record? Bama got whooped by a team with 1 sec win wthMost of the Country (including TNdeer) and the media were rooting for the Tide to be left out. This is always the case. Follow the money in _________(everything).ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, NEVER EVER DOUBT THAT!
They can wish in one hand... They know what fills up in the rest. So there is that. Roll Tide. Most of the Country (including TNdeer) and the media were rooting for the Tide to be left out. Bama will draw a larger crowd than Ole Miss that is top priorityI might be biased but I try not to be. I don't think Alabama has a great team this year. I think they have played great at times but they also played awful at times.
The only team I think has an argument to be over Alabama is Ole Miss. I think they're the ones getting screwed. I think Alabama is a better team than Miami and I think Alabama should be ahead of them. I don't think USCe should jump Alabama and Ole Miss because they beat Clemson by 3 points. Alabama and Ole Miss both won their games and have wins over USCe. I get it USCe is a hot team but it's a ranking throughout the season or that's how it should be. I don't think Indiana should be ranked where they are and I don't think Penn St should be either. All wins and all loses are not equal.
I think Sankey was doing his job as commissioner of the SEC.

3 points.
Its already ruined. The fun was put on a glide path to bs with the bcs system, now its crashed. It'll never be like it was with the poll national champion days, that created endless yearlong controversy that kept college football on everybody's mind and debating without end. That's what made it unique and different from every other sport.Even if it ruins the integrity of the game? Turning into fake wrestling
I would not try and explaining it to them at this point. Gonna fall on deaf ears at this point. Roll TideAccording to the selection committee, they (along with all of the other selections) are in the playoff based on merit. I never heard or read anything about from the committee saying history, money, or anything else was a factor in their decision.
Come on man. You really think they're gonna mention anything about those things? Like I said keep the crimson shades on. It's amazing everybody sees it except bama fans.According to the selection committee, they (along with all of the other selections) are in the playoff based on merit. I have heard multiple commentators say that very thing. Will the committee say it? No. Will they act on it? Maybe. We can look at college football history and see many times where a team got their chance or ranking because of what their history was. I may not like it, but it is what it is. No one knows who wins a matchup between Alabama and Boise State. We know who SHOULD win, not would win, and there is a big difference there. Just like we knew who should win in a game between OK and Alabama two weeks ago.According to the selection committee, they (along with all of the other selections) are in the playoff based on merit. Can't reason with some of theseCome on man. You really think they're gonna mention anything about those things? Like I said keep the crimson shades on. It's amazing everybody sees it except bama fans.
I knew better but figured I'd try. Lesson learned. Will go back to my standard of reading, getting a chuckle, and moving on.Can't reason with some of these

I don't deal in assumptions.
I'm sure some of y'all will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember Alabama being ranked pretty high for much of the BCS era when the so-called bias$ S$election committee was not a factor.
In fact, Alabama won 3 National Championships under the BCS model. And 3 post-BCS National Championships. It doesn't seem like much has changed in the last ~25 years. Facts are facts.
What does any of that have to do with this year? Not a dam thingI'm sure some of y'all will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember Alabama being ranked pretty high for much of the BCS era when the so-called bias$ S$election committee was not a factor.

According to Doughboy , the past plays a huge part. He has said it time and time again. But I think you are right and he is wrong.According to the selection committee, they (along with all of the other selections) are in the playoff based on merit.
