Found on farm I grew up on, I found them when I was about 11 years old and have keep them almost 60 years. Never found anything else simpler.

The best I can find out Indians used them to grind corn or nuts. Most I have seen where a lot larger.

I have a near round one on my back porch my dad had and I always wondered where it was from.

No river anywhere close to where they where found. Besides most rivers and streams in West Tenn. are muddy bottom not rock.
