I hunt there every year. Killed a good deer last year. I have permission to hunt 5 farms this year ranging from 100 acres to 500 acres.

Seen plenty of Huge deer on the farms. So I guess I'll pay the price.

Actually NR license only going up $10. $130 to $140

NR deer permit going $100. $60 to $160

Total of $300... Still too cheap when compared to other trophy states
Especially considering you get to hunt whole season.
16 day rifle season included.
 
Good thing is resident license didnt change.
Its fair now because it cost more last few years to Hunt TN as a non-resident.

Still TN is a good deal considering the number of Deer you can KILL

how do you get permission to hunt all those farms in KY when you don;t live there? do you just drive up and ask? or do you have family/friends there?
 
I will pay it. My brother and myself have just over 900 acres and now other than the landowner it is just us. Great piece of land in a great area. I have killed a nice mature buck in each of the last 3 years.
 
family and friends. The Ex sheriff of Grant County Kentucy owns two of them and my nephew owns one and my brother has two farms in Eastern Kentucky that we are the only one allowed to hunt. One is 160 acres and the other 500 acres where a mine use to be and has worked out.

The 160 acres is full of elk. 7 x 7 killed on that farm.

We have a total of 1020 acres. Hope I get a good one.

The two in southeastern Kentucky will only have one week of season and the other three have two weeks.

Greed? Exorbinant prices?

Thats not the death of hunting.If anything its the lack of available hunting oportunities,and lack of father figure at home.

$300 is just a small amount above what Tn charges for a non resident.

Ever hunt Ky and you wont hunt anywhere else.
