Very nice man.
My son and his girlfriend just bought them each one.
Can't remember the name but they got them at walmart.
His is a "fishing" one since it has rod holders, hers doesn't.

They go to the Buffalo a couple times a year just to float it and got tired of renting them for $50.00 a day.

I am gonna probably get me one at some point when the greenbacks get a little thicker.

Ive got the Jackson Coosa HD. Just no action pictures yet. Mine is stock with no dept finders or anything. It is a comfortable ride though.

i have a pelican bandit 100. i bought it for core and shoulder exercise. i take it to a couple different local lakes 2/3 times a week. 30-60 minutes of nonstop paddling is a awesome workout,

My 12 ft Native Slayer. My son is picking it up this next week to take to Georgia. My kayaking days may be over since having shoulder trouble. Unless I go to a trolling motor or the pedal propelled type.

I've never heard of that before. I know only a white light is required for paddlecraft but I don't remember reading that it's illegal to use the red and green as well. I always considered it to be safer... nobody heads toward a buoy at night anyway, you try to stay between them, not run into them. I just finished putting the same lights on a canoe, BUT it also has a motor, so it would be required regardless.

I sure didn't know that.
I guess I see their reasoning but I also don't see the difference in having them on a yak or on a regular boat?
You would think the more the better (in terms of lights).

Red/green indicates that you are "under power", shows your direction of travel,and implies you have the ability to avoid another boat. SCN, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the red/green is supposed to be turned off when at anchor after dark so others know you are not moving, and that you can't easily get out of the way.

It scared me to death a couple years ago on Dale Hollow when this little aluminum v hull came trolling by in the pitch black and the only light he had on was the glow from a cigarette. It seems a cultural thing up there, to run after dark without any lights.

I had forgotten the "under power" part and yes you are correct about them being turned off when at anchor best I remember too.
I need a refresher course it seems. :)

In waterways restricted to kayaks and canoes, moonlight and starlight should be considered adequate unless artificial light is necessary. Red/green running lights (or "sidelights") are not required on a kayak, canoe or other "vessel under oars" under 7 meters in the United States or on international waters.

Nice pics! I want to get one someday. I am considering the angler version of the Perception Pescador 10.

I do know you can modify it to the gills. There are lots of accessories to add on to a kayak.

My daughter recently got a vibe yellowfin 100 and it is an impressive little boat. Very stable and includes more accessories as standard than most, like a paddle and 4 rodholders.

I really like the Ascend 10footer. I don't have one..But think cost wise its pretty good bang for the buck.

I've been fishing out of it quite a bit lately. Each time I take it out I can't beileve how much I like it! I got some grief from the high end guys, bit I just remind them they have 2k+ in there's and mine still catches plenty of fish!

Took it out to Poplar Lake at Shelby Forest on Sunday--where the pic was taken. In addition to the heat advisory and extreme heat warning that was in effect, the water felt like bathwater. Gonna wait til this heat wave subsides before I take it out again. I will probably hit up some of the local lakes (Edmund Orgill, Glen Springs, Shelby Forest, Fort Pillow, etc.) during the next month or so. Basically anything that has an access point where I can put the kayak in the water.
