i really liked the K9 and K40 originals, they were built like tanks. I don't have any experience with their new models, but they look cheap to me. I could be entirely wrong though.

I have no experience with the 380 in the Kahr, but I do have experience with the Kahr MK40, P45, and PM9. I honestly would look at the PM9 if you are looking at the P380. You will have more firepower in a pistol that is not much bigger. I haven't had any sort of malfunction out of mine.

I agree with M70. The PM9 or CW9 are worth it because they are the thinnest and easiest to conceal 9mm's around and very accurate. If you want a .380, just go with a Ruger LCP or Kel-Tec P-3AT for a lot less money and just as small/concealable as the Kahr .380. The Kel-Tec was a game changer when it first came out 8 years ago. It was the first .380 that was lighter and smaller than most .22 and .25 auto pocket pistols.

I would much rather have the 9mm if it is not much bigger,,weight is no concern,,just the actual size of the weapon,

I love my walther PPS, but it is a little too big for a pocket pistol at least in my opinion. Very easy to conceal with a tuckable IWB holster. I just got my Dan Bullard holster (after a 6 month wait - he stays pretty backed up!), and it is an excellent holster.

Ruger just came out with a really small 9mm; the LC9. I haven't heard much in the way of reviews yet, but it is supposed to be marginally bigger than the LCP, P380, etc.

I just picked up a Taurus TCP with a black stainless slide. I've been looking at the LCP, Kel-tec P3-AT, and P380, and then handled a TCP last week. I really didn't like the LCP or Kel-tec, I really liked the P380 but not so much the price tag. I took a chance on the TCP, knowing the Taurus reputation, because it just felt "right" in my hand and seemed to be a sturdy little pistol. It seems the story with the TCP is that you either get one that runs great right out of the box, or you get a dud that has bad issues with FTEs / FTFs. It seems I got a good one - I put 50 FMJ rounds and a clip of Hornady Critical Defense hollow points through it yesterday without a hiccup (I'll need to put another couple of hundred trouble free rounds through it before I'm fully convinced, though), and it actually is not bad to shoot (some little 380's are not very pleasant to do a range session with). Mine is a "B" (the last digit of the serial number) series - I have heard that problems are more common with the "A" series.

Anyway, just another one to consider if you are looking to go really small, for less than $300.

The PM9 is just a tad larger than the P380. It's not a significant difference in size.

Had a CW9 a few years back and couldnt have been more pleased. Except for the double action trigger I loved it

i have owned the mk 9 with the all steel frame and i sold it to my uncle but i will say this it is one heck of a carry pistol and it was such a small piece that you could fit it in your pocket no problems and having the 9 mm round as a back up was awsome since i carry the m9 as a primary. i will say that after spending the money though i think i would rather have spent it on a different gun.

the cw kahrs are not milled as well as the p's, pm's, k's, and mk's. i would not buy a cw. i know too many people who went with the cw cause it is cheaper and have really regretted due to some malfunctions with rounds jamming.
