Can't go tomorrow but taking my bonus son Sunday to see if we can get him his first deer. He's never hunted anything but wanted to give it a try. My kids are past the juvenile stage and I thought I was done until he asked about it. I'm sure I won't sleep a wink tomorrow night. 😂
Just got done telling my wife a few minutes ago I won't sleep tonight! 😂

Good luck to everyone.
Stopped by Latham's in Jackson to pick up some meat. They've had 10 check in so far. They were too busy to chat details.

Rain picked up pretty heavy here in Meigs county so we packed up around 10:00 and will hit it again this evening. Saw 3 doe around 8:30ish.

I hope everyone that is headed out this weekend has a blessed and safe trip! My daughter and I will be there! Many memories will be made this weekend and time spent with hopefully future hunters. So please share your pics of those successful hunters.
Indeed memories are made. Several times through the years my now 26 year old daughter has reminded her mother that I was the one who did things with her!

Yes, good luck to all of you.
My son and I haven't seen anything so far today. Here he is all dressed and ready, first thing this morning. (twra approved juvenile) At least he's gotten better at being quiet and sitting still.

Back at it for the afternoon/evening. Rain moved out but it's still windy as all get out.

Took my wife and 10 year old with me to check cams a little while ago, the deer were moving really good here this morning. Wish my 10 year old autistic son was more interested.

My nephew was blessed to get it done this evening. We noticed a scrape on the way out this morning. I told him that I felt like a buck would come through and freshen it up some time before dark after all of this rain, so fast forward to about 2:45 this afternoon as we walked by said scrape it hadn't been freshened up. We got settled in the stand and i looked at my phone it was 2:57. He shot that dude at 3:12 right at the scrape. Great day of hunting with family.
