I have looked over on the TWRA website and cant find a definitive answer. Maybe yall can help.
When the deer is shot by the youth the adult checks the deer in correct? How does this apply to bag limits due to it being a speacial season. Going to take my nephew and wanted to have the facts straight. Thanks for your help.

Just to confirm if they are 10 or older then they must have a had the hunters safety course to legally take a deer during juvenile? Thanks for your help.

Yes, if they are 10 or older they must be hunter safety certified. However, if a youth is not certified, they can purchase an apprentice license that will be good for one year. It can only be purchased once in their lifetime. They must be accompanied at all times by someone that is hunter safety certified if they purchase the apprentice license.
