My 10 yr old son took a buck yesterday on our property. On the check-in site it gives the option of checking it in under landowner or under 13. To check it in in the under13 section it would not recognize him because he has never been in the system. I checked it in under landowner but it used all my info. How does this work? Does this now count toward my 2 buck limit? Thanks in advance.

Re: Juvenile hunt landowner exemption

You will need to call your regional office on Monday and get it straightened out as it was not properly checked in. As has been posted numerous times, a hunter cannot use the online check in unless they are in the system. You should have gone to a checking station where they could have checked it in and gotten him in the system.

As it now stands, it would count against your two buck limit. And, it would also be viewed as an illegal deer since the season wasn't open for you. It needs to be corrected ASAP.
