I was checking 30 acres my uncle has that no-one ever hunts, the usual tickets, small block of hardwoods and a 3 acre field. There are deer trails and small buck rubs all over. So I walk the ridge down to the powerline, slickest deer trail I've seen in awhile crossing it. So I figure I'll hunt the point up above the crossing. Well as I'm walking across and up to the next point, as I'm doing so, up jumps a nice buck and off in the woods he goes. Just my luck, but I did find a nice looking spot to hunt. I'm sitting here till dark lol.
