Here I am, 30hrs from the in-state hunt (Enterprise South) ive been waiting on all yr and wouldnt you know it I pulled my back out monday jumping on the trampoline with my boy. I think I can make it to the tree but whats sad is my 59yr old dad may have to do the draggin if I kill. Shouldnt this be the other way around? Theyre only allowing us 1hr after dark to get ourselves and our deer out so maybe I need to carry in a cooler instead of a stand.

do you have a deer cart or hand truck? I used a hand truck on my big doe last night and it made the drag very easy. Sorry about your back, hope it heals up quicker than you expect.

I gota cart but its my lower back (former bodybuilder injury current over weight dad) so my steps are small. Now to go get on a swaying uncomfortable train and drive it home.

Good luck. Wish I could help, but I am nowhere near Enterprise South and also work in the evenings.

I'd say since you have another day left, don't do much at all involving your back so it can heal a bit faster...

Thanks. Im to young to be having this problem. I wish I did things differently when it came to fitness in the past. Im gona do all I can to make it better before the hunt. I was planning on staying in the tree daylight til dark both days but now im thinking that may just make it stiffer. My old mans going so he can just mow em down and il tag em for him.

They say: "Getting older gives 'twist and shout' a whole new meaning..." LOL Try a heat pack at night; might help with stiffness in the morning?
