I just took my drag and went over it . It looked to do a decent job pulling the dirt over the seed. We will see in a few days.it got a couple hours of rain on it yesterday with more to come today.

I disced mine in one year and drug them in the next year. The year I used the drag, I ran dove out every time I went there. Discing did not seem to be too deep but his will also depend on how loose your soil is.
You will probably get more for less by letting it go to weeds during the summer. We lost 3-4 acres of summer plots last year in Jackson Co. Deer never let it get up. At least you get the weeds for free.

Probably right but I have done both and will plant eagle bean soybeans every time. They are a huge attractant that is unique to the deer in my plots. Weeds are everywhere and that makes my neighbors just as attractive. I have had to chase deer out of my beans but never my weeds. Plus, I have weeds all over my place. :)
