Well all I can say is Whoa! after I fired the first shot. The rifle was a Savage with a Manners T4 stock topped with a NF NXS. We were only shooting 300 yards but man I really like that round. My .300 RUM may be getting converted over.
 
You'll know it when you pull the trigger :)

Honestly, the EDGE affords no ballistic advantage for me (hunting out to 750 yards) over the 300 RUM. You've got to get WAY out there to realize the extra BC of the heavy 338 bullets over the speed loss from the 300 RUM (but I've got a 30"bbl- pushing 200 AB's at 3280fps)

shoota280...We where shooting steel so sorry no pics. The rifle is not mine...its a Savage but... I wouldn't mind having this one. Jon with a muzzle brake recoil is not a factor and you can spot your hits easily.

I am gonna try Daddys Lapua with the brake taken off,,but with earplugs and a pair of electronic muffs it aint too bad.

I am almost glad I dont have the money right now to build mine,,I dont know for sure which way I would go,,

I wonder what the EDGE would do with the 180 NBT or the 225 Sierra SBT,

I know the Lapua will send the 250 NAB over 3100fps
 
We shot a doe at 330 yards Saturday evening with a 338 Lapua Improved. With a 250 grain Accubond...she didn't even flinch. With the NF glass, it was a gimme shot. Everything in front of her diaphragm was jelly.

If I had a place where I could shoot one on out to 1000 at any given time, I'd have one.

The barrel is by Sattern (sp) and it is carbon fiber wrapped. I believe its 28 inches. Its not an Edge but a 338 Lapua Improved.
