Just got back from Prentice Cooper...

Hunted for 2 days straight for a total of 4 hunts and did not see a deer. Even guys that have hunted the place for years didnt get one. Only 3 deer taken as of yesterday morning when we left out. The acorns up there are dropping like crazy. It sounds like bowling balls hitting the ground all around you. I guess the deer just don't have to move far to eat.

Had a good time but don't know if I will put in for it again next year.

This does not sound good. Me and the wife are headed there for the open gun hunt. Hopefully the acorn situation will change and the deer will be more easy to pattern or perhaps even see some early rutting activity and we can get the drop on some early old love sick buck.

I stopped hunting the early bow hunt years ago...there are never many deer killed on it.
