Does anyone know of farmers that hate turkeys as much as they hate deer?
I know of one in WT that 2 years ago planted corn and the next day a flock of birds were scratching put the seed in the field.
I know of 1 in MT that caught birds tearing up quail nests and he just assume to kill them all.

I know the farmers in Florida love them. They get $1000 per bird paid by the outfitters bringing clients to shoot an Osceola. Way more than what they get for a weaned steer or heifer.

I suspect as demand for turkeys increases and nationwide supply decreases, farmers everywhere will get at least $250 for a less desirable bird (eastern, rio) in the relatively near future

I knew a guy that raised quail and had quail hunts in Alabama and he shot every hawk he saw off the power lines around his fields.
