Hi, I just bought one today at the gun shop. a T/C Omega. Tonight my wife said I was looking at it like a new baby.

I will try shooting 250 GR ShockWave Super Glide Sabots with 100 grain Triple 7. Is that a good choice?
I bought this brand new,, Omega camo SS 28 inch barrel with a camo Nikon Pro Staff 3X9X40 and Leopold Quick Release for 700.00
Was that a good deal?
I looked around and with all the setup, scope, leopold stuff, could not find it cheaper. I know the scope is worth 260, and the Leopold is about 75 to 80 bucks. So the gun came out to be around 360.
I think I made a good choice.

same setup i got just a dif T/C try the T/C primers i found out today they leave the breech a lot cleaner just another suggestion... the T/C #13 bore cleaner works great

It shouldn't matter what we think. If you think you got a good deal that's all that matters.
 
last week i got the omega Z5 premium pack at wally world for $317..the nikon 3x9x40 pro staff for $160..and picked up some luepold bases at the gun shop for $46..i have about $550 in mine..

Sounds like you got a great deal. I don't think there is any difference between your gun and mine. Just maybe the camo and you saved a bunch of money. You got a great buy!
 
I bought the Nikon Omega 3X9X40. It has the ballistic circles. I should have bought the Prostaff scope to save a little money. The guy at the gun shop through in about 50 bucks worth of 777 stuff ... primer, shockwave, and cleaning wipes.
 
I have the same set up except for the scope,mine does really well with 250 gr SST's or T/C 245 gr I forget what they are called but its a hollow point bullet,with 2-777 pellets and the 777 primers. The thing is wicked accurite.
 
I have the Omega, camo barrel and stock with a Prostaff 3x9x40 and Weaver bases, . I really love the way it handles and shoots.
 
fishfly...you can save $50 more by going to the cabelas web site and going to the omega page then printing the T/C coupon for the $50 rebate..you dont have to buy from cabelas..just have a copy of your reciept..it a mail in..but $50 is $50. :D

i dunno if thats a deal i recently bought the encore pro hunter an couldnt seem to focus on another guns price but this one any t/cs a good deal in my eyes
 
I bought an Omega last week from a forum member here.
Camo stock, SS barrel, Nikon Omega scope in silver.
2 boxes of 777 pellets,sabots and cleaning stiff.
Bunch of 777 primers.
$ 450.

I shot it Saturday. 3 pellets (150 gr.)
250 gr sabot.
Shot great. Was 2" high at 100 yds. Am going to buy some Hornaday bullets,and stay with the 3 777 pellets.
Could shoot 2 777 pellets,but 3 of them is not a bad kick.
Nice gun. Real good shooter.
Smoke does not smell bad also.

You can clean the barrel in between shots without removing the breech plug. Run a wet patch through it after every shot,and your fine.
Omega is a keeper. Love the SS barrel.
The Nikon scope is not as good of glass as my Leupold VX-III,but the BDC retical is real cool. Reaches out as advertised.
 
The ele relief is far back on mine. Took a few shots to get used to it. Might try and remount it forward for next season.
 
I got the best results using the Knight easyload sabot with a Barnes 250 gr. expander bullet with 100 gr. 777.
