A one day trip to the Henry's fork and back same day from Livingston is a heck of a long drive each way through the park. Leave early am watch for critters in the road. Going to Bozeman Ennis and south to Last Chance might be a faster and easier trip. I d have a hard time leaving the great multiple Spring Creeks fishing at Livingston to make that drive for one day.
 
I hope you put a " Tennessee Whoop Ass" on them per what the guide said. Steve Nifong called me one night after fishing Henry's Fork so elated! They were supposedly having a tough evening until he put on one of my what I called a Gangsta Midges that I had sent him. He said he put a whooping on them after that.

In other words…..Take some flies they have never seen.
 
Many rivers have hoot owl restrictions and will most likely end in closures. Double check to make sure…hope you are able to go. My business was based out of Livingston. I miss being out west at times

I'll actually be there in mid-September now. Hopefully, hoot owl shouldn't be a problem that late.
