Well I haven't had any issues out of my DPMS AR-15 in 5.56 or my Spikes Tactical AR-15 in 6.8spc.

I recently put together an AR-15 in 5.56 with a Roggio Arsenal lower (DPMS parts kit) and a SOTA Arms upper w/ Bravo Company bolt carrier group. I was using an older metal magazine (will have to look at the make if it is marked on it)...

UPPER SPECS:
Black anodized finish with white T-marked lettering
M4 Feedramps cut in upper
Barrel is 16" mag-phosphate finish with 1/9 twist chambered for 5.56 Nato.
Barrels are M4 contour with M4 feedramps.
Carbine length aluminum machined free float handguard.
One rail black anodized aluminum gas block
A2 flash-hider.

Here is my issue - a Failure to Feed that resulted in the bullet being pushed deep into the case. I am going to try some of my PMAGs tomorrow hoping it was s magazine issue and not a rifle issue.

Anyone have any suggestions / info on whatelse it could possible be?

1. Was this the first round loaded to fire or had you already shot it?
2. Are rounds reloads?
3. What type of buffer?

Is this a new set up or has this been shot before.
If its been shot before I'll say its the magazines, but if its brand new set up I'll say it maybe the feed ramps improperly cut.

1. It was the 3rd round but I was cycling the action manually (not during firing).

2. Not reloads.

3. I will verify if it is Mil-Spec or Commercial. It was teh standard buffer, buffer tube and buffer spring that came with the buffer kit/stock. I don't know the weight but can find out tonight.

I plan on actually shooting it tomorrow (not just manually cycling) but I was at the house and it was 8pm so couldn't fire off a couple of rounds to verify function.
