Jon boat flooring question

I just bought a new 1548 G3 Jon boat. After receiving several flooring suggestions, I have went with .120 aluminum plate. I've read about people putting closed cell foam between the ribs to help support the floor as well as adding floatation and insulation. My question is, what specifically are they talking about? Is it as simple as those 4x8 sheets of foam house insulation, or something else? Thanks

The two tank stuff is expensive. We've been tossing the idea around to fill a couple of pontoons for a duck blind, but for two 28 foot pontoons, we are looking at $2000 or more. Thus it has not been done yet.

yea the pink or blue closed cell foam at lowes or home depot. The pink thick foam at home depot will not fit the ribs in a g3. I have tried it the foam is too thick.
