Yeah its hard to beat Abu Garcia. I have 8 Revo's and 4 Johnny Morris Carbon Blacks. I think I'm getting lazy and looking for something lighter. I will check them out Friday, and if I likem', probably bring home a half dozen.

If ya want lighter, check out the Abu Garcia Veritas. Best bang for the buck IMO. I have 4 casting Micro-guide Veritas & 1 spinning in the Veritas.

I've heard good things about the JMB but I have never fished with one. I think they are going on sale soon... or may be already on sale. I got a sales papper from there last week and they have the big spring sale coming up.

I just prefer to stay with Abu Garcia... even if they weigh a little more than the JMB.

I also like the Veritas. I only have 2 of them now but I plan on adding a couple more before season gets into swing.

Yeah the Veritas are nice rods. However I am mainly looking at the reels. The Johnny Morris Carbon lite reels are about a 1/4lb lighter than anything I have. That would be a big cut in weight on 100's of casts in a day. Do you like the micro-guide rods? Are all the claims true? Never tried one but thought I might. I have read about eye inserts popping out on many different brands. Had any issues with your experience on the micro guides?

Holy moly, how bout giving me a couple of those revos

I have the caron lite rod and reel. The reel is awesome so far, its crazy how light that thing is but its still tough and durable. Casts great.....I don't have any complaints so far.

My BNL bought a TFO rod and had nothing but problems out of it. They replaced it one time and then he got his money back the next. He didn't have it but a couple of weeks. It was a spinning rod.
