I needed a shooter so I could watch the trace and see what the wind was doing,,it was calm at the line and the target but was moving right to left at about 350,,it was only a 1.5 MOA adjustment..

he hit a gallon milk jug on the first shot after I adjusted for the wind,then he shot 7 times at a quart oil can,and made 4 hits,the 3 misses were so close I think all 7 would have hit the gallon jug,,

I think he did very well for an 8 year old kid for his first time at 500 yards,,

CZ 527 Varmint 9 twist 223,4.5-14 LR/T M1,69 Sierra 25 grs Varget.

any of yall shooters that dont have one of these back pack/drag bag/shooting mats need to get one,,it is the best thing since sliced bread,

I have got to where I get a bigger kick out of spotting than shooting,,

just something about watching the bullet in flight that intrigues me..

and besides JW likes shooting the 223,,

thanx for the kind words,,with his back problems most impact sports are out,but he really likes to shoot,

he has really good form and follow through,he is doing OK in the NRA 5 meter BB gun,but he would rather shoot at random targets at his pace as to shoot in the competition setting,,as some of the positions,especially sitting are hard for him to get into,,
