John boat project?

Just picked up a kinda beat up John boat , prob going to put a floor in the two middle sections. Thought I read on here something about not putting pressure treated against aluminum ? Can't wait to get it on the water. Any tips on cheap carpet or how to secure it?

We put marine grade plywood against an aluminum boat and it lasted 20 years until I replaced it.That was fine by me.

I honestly just buy 3/4 pine and put four coats of Thompson on it. I fix a different Jon boat every year. Carpet rolls at Lowes for $23.00 usually takes me two rolls for 16 ft. Jon. Take your time and use carpet glue and staple to under side.
