Try some plastics on the points. Also I've had good luck with crankbaits around points and any rocks you can find...this was on the south side of the lake.
What part of the lake will you be fishing?? I can be more specific if it's on the south.
Dark plastics (Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Seed, etc) 6" or 7" worms with light weight - 1/8, 3/16 oz, 10-20 ft deep around shady points, boat houses, piers. Better late evening and night.
went down there in late april caught 6 bass . 5 were smallies and 1 large all on Wilson using live shiners in the turbin area. all were 3.5 lbs and one smallmouth was 5.5lbs . kept catching them from where the 10 -12 ft water was going to 15-18 ft
Unless you have another reason to be on Wheeler, don't waste your time or money. It is possibly the worst bass fishery on the TN river south of Ft Loudon dam.
Bream should be biting good with the full moon also.
