Jawbone

I know this isn't the best cut on a jaw bone but I'm posting this for a buddy of mine. We had never cut one out. Any idea how old this one might be?

A view more looking straight down at the teeth would help a little.
Appears to be at least 2 1/2, but likely no older than 3 1/2.

Also, pics are worth a lot, but never as much as actually having the jawbone in your hand.

You may be right, but I'm leaning that those aren't milk teeth. The deer looked older which is why we were curious. Wish I had a picture of the deer itself. If I get one, I'll post it.

You lost me there, unless I'm misinterpreting the picture (which is possible because it's late and I worked on home plumbing all day). Look at his 3rd pre molar (2cusp) and his last molar has erupted.

*actually, Now that I look at it it does appear the 3rd molar has 3 cusp. But #6 appears to be sharp and pointed...I need a better pic on this one.

Stop trying to count the cusps. Have you ever seen premolars so worn with the molars in pristine condition.....and the premolars not be milk teeth? There's your answer.

Stop trying to count the cusps. Have you ever seen premolars so worn with the molars in pristine condition.....and the premolars not be milk teeth? There's your answer.

Excellent point and the obvious, those temp premolars are flat worn out. 1-1.5yrs.
