Jawbone Help Please

I havent spent the time to learn how to age a jawbone accurately, so I'm using yall as a crutch. How old was he?

I'm no good with jawbones, but I had trail cam pics and saw the deer dead, and a 2 year old, he was not. Thanks for the replies.

his deer does have the full back tooth, with wear on all cusps too. It's older than 2.5

No cusp on back tooth.. i'd say 2.5

By the text book a 2 year old will have a concave last cusp on 3rd molar, by 3 years it is flat, and by 4 years it slopes down sharply from wear. By that measure, this deer would be at least 4 because the last cusp is clearly worn beyond flat to a sharp slope.

Tooth wear is good for setting a minimum. Deer are often older than the text book would indicate, but they are least that old. The biggest problem is that many people with suggestions don't know how to apply the text book criteria to a particular jawbone.
