While not really practical for hunting (although I am sure it has been done), these bows are really interesting.
The bowmaker is a 41st generation in the family business.

Very interesting video. Along the same idea, I have seen some woodworking skills and finishing used in Japan that can take as much as 40K hours to learn the complete craft.
As a school archery team coach, I marvel at the accuracy of the Japanese archers who don't use a physical anchor point on their face. Google Samurai archers to see a prime example, even when riding and shooting from horseback.
