Good quality deer in that area also. I live in Jackson County and seems like every year the buck quality is getting better. I know the last week or two of season there was a monster that came from J county , a guy I know had a bunch of trail cam pics of it but a leaser that hunted close ended up getting it. Possibly 170"

I was sworn to secrecy and I had a pic of him alive and one of him in the bed of the guys truck, I know my buddy was heart broken because he hunted his butt off and didn't kill a single deer this year because of this buck.

Here it is. Don't know the guy that killed it, just know that it was shot right next door only a few hundred yards away from my buddy. There are some good deer in this county which is true for all counties this day and time but a buck this size is a rare exception and congrats to whoever got him.

We figured gross was in the 170's and before he got run down from the rut we thought he would weigh between 225 and 250 on the hoof.

yes, my wife's grandma lives there and my in-laws had 60 acres up there. it is good area but I had other places closer so I only went a little. they asked me if I cared if they sold it because if I planned on hunting it hard they would keep it which was nice of them, I am lucky that my in-laws think that much of me, lol. I told them go ahead. my wife's uncle wound up with it so I could still hunt it if I wanted. it is steep but the hills are short.
