Agreed. Haven't seen a great replay of it and I was at game and you couldn't see anything from as far away as I sat. What I did see looks like he wasn't looking at Vandy player, or where he was stepping so... I'm going with unintentional until I see something that makes me think otherwise.
 
I seen a replay, it looks to me its unintentional. As he's getting up, vandy players are there pushing and he's trying to get up and looking at them.

What made my mind up is the way he places his hand on his shoulder as he is standing up. That hand was a way to measure where to place his foot without having to look at the opponent while doing so. He is a punk thug in my book.

I see what I see and call it like I see it. People say he was pushed but I see no evidence of him being pushed that way and having to use his foot to catch his balance. I'm as big of TN fan as anyone on here but I'm not going to take up for crap like that.

I watched 2 or 3 more times. It's so hard to tell it's really a coin flip.

I don't wanna call a kid a thug punk for something that may very well be a complete accident and really hurt his legacy.

I also dont want him to go unpunished for something he may have did on purpose.

No one is gonna know the real answer besides him. Everything else is just speculation / opinion.

There is another video where people say they can read his lips where he is talking to another teammate afterwards and you can see him say something like "i stepped on that punk B**##es face.

I have not seen that video so i wont comment on it.

He started by hitting the guy late out of bounds and then ripped is helmet off. Thats pretty bad but emotions run pretty high in football so i wont judge him on that, its the part that follows that i take issue with.

I think the hand was on the shoulder but still thats the same point i was making and thats why i believe it was intentional without a doubt.
 
I'm sure if something comes out then JJ will not play another down for UT.

Still not seen anything besides speculation / opinion at this point.
 
You can tell he wanted to hurt with the scrum after the tackle. It was intentional. You don't kick like that on accident.

Yep... Look at the circumstances surrounding the play and was there a motive for Jennings to intentionally step on the guys head.

Let's not candy coat this and takeoff the orange color glasses.

I didn't think it was intentional because he's not even looking at him when he gets up. I thought he he was pumped for the hit he put on him and when getting up was all emotional and accidentally did it. Yes in the past he acted a thug but seeing it was senior night and he has one collegiate game left in the bowl game I don't think he'd risk missing half of it for that. Maybe I'm wrong but how I saw it after watching the replay 5 or 6 times.
 
He first takes his hand and plants the guys head into the ground where he can immediately step on the guys face. Both action were deliberate and was a continuous act.

He knew exactly where the guys head was because he put it there prior to stepping on him. I think he let his emotions get to him when they were wrestling around.

He basically teed up the guys head before tap dancing on it... :rotf:

Outsider looking in but that's what I also saw. One of the videos they have you can play it frame by frame and it sure looked like his hand was on the guys neck to head area.
 
Since it's so easily seen he did it on purpose for sure according to you guys, and they are said to be videos of him were you can read his lips.

Shouldn't the NCAA be dropping the hammer on him any moment.

It's still early.

I don't think he intentionally stepped on the guy's face, but I do think he kicked at him as he was walking away.

He clearly lost it with the excessive force on the tackle, and then ripping the guy's helmet off!

When he finally starts walking away, he puts both hands up to the sides of his face. It could be interpreted in many ways, one of which could have been the realization of "what did I just do?"
