I wanna break my detector out and get busy, anyone have any good leads on civil war era sites or anyone wanna go with a tag-a-long? There's not much action in my part of the state but id travel and pay for a good day of hunting.
 
Right here where I live has plenty of civil war sites. I don't know where many specific places are, but I can think of a couple and I have a buddy who would definitely know a few.

Any you can get permission to search, I've got a few detectors and the vehicle toget there, if you wanna give it a try for yourself.

Not sure where I can get permission but there is one city owned hiking trail that might be good and I am not sure what the rules are on metal detecting. Could look it up. Also could ask my buddy if he has permission for any.
 
I live right here on Battle ave. Franklin, the main battle was right up the street from me. There has to be some stuff in my yard and my three neighbors are good with hunting I sold my machine years ago once rocks took over but youre more than welcome to come on one weekend!

Didn't mean to cut in. Sorry about that. Just thought it was a good chance to meet some people from the site. I like looking at relics from other colectors and showing them my relics. It would be just as much fun for me to watch you swing his yard and find stuff instead of me. Good luck.
 
I didn't mean to come off like that and shouldn't of, I've only got to hunt one site of that era and it was dug to death, we just don't have much opportunity in my area
