says my grandson. he was a premy baby so he still hasnt caught up in size yet, at 8 he is only 50 pounds. july 4 was ripping hot but the fish were biting. caught a bunch of gills and shellcrackens off the hatches. kept 7-8" to eat and released the largest fish. was on a school of probably a couple thousand around 20ft deep.
then moved on to the deep shell beds for white cats (what pawpaw called them) but most people know them as blues. there were so many fish on those shells the line would get slimed just passing over them. several double catches and fish from 5-20 pound. left em
still biting caught twent something in a couple hours. pretty much teenage fish but good filets. im starting to sour on crappie and would rather eat these, go figure.
anyhoo more pontoons that you can shake a stick at now lol.
